Hsinchu, Taiwan, January 30, 2024 – Edgecore Networks, a leading provider of traditional and open network solutions for enterprises, data centers, and telecommunication service providers, today announced that Edgecore has started to manufacture products in India. Emphasizing Edgecore’s long-term commitment to India and its support for the “Make in India” initiative, the factory in Delhi has successfully produced its first ECS4120 enterprise switches for the local market and plans to gradually add data center and telecom products in the near future.

The Government of India launched its Make in India initiative in 2014 as a way to encourage companies to develop and manufacture products in India. After already establishing an office in India, Edgecore enthusiastically embraced the Make in India policy and accepted the incentives to establish a manufacturing center in Delhi. By leveraging local production experience and working in partnership with local software developers, Edgecore has been able to start producing devices that will be delivered as “Made in India” products to the local enterprise, data center, and telecom markets.

The Edgecore ECS4120 switches have been the first products to be manufactured in Delhi. The state-of-the-art Edgecore ECS4120 switch series is a Gigabit Ethernet switch with four 10G uplink ports, ideal for deployment in SMB, enterprise, or campus networks. By manufacturing in India, Edgecore will be able to deliver products more quickly and cost effectively to its Indian customers.
