Overview
The Edgecore DCS511 is an open network spine switch for high-performance data centers.
The DCS511 can be deployed as a spine switch supporting 100/400 GbE spine-to-spine or spine-to-leaf interconnects, target deployments can be Web-scale Data Centers and SP / Enterprise Data Centers.
This open network switch is loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), which supports the installation of compatible Network Operating System software, including the open source options Open Network Linux, plus commercial NOS offerings.

- Supports hot/cold aisles with front-to-back or back-to-front airflow SKUs
- All ports on front; PSUs and fans accessible from rear
- Hot-swappable, load-sharing, redundant 1500W AC or 48VDC PSUs
- Higher optical segment support
- Supports 400G ZR/Open ZR+ coherent transceivers in the upper 16 QSFP56-DD ports
- Contains e-fuses to protect individual transceivers
- Hardware switch pre-loaded with Open Network Install Environment (ONIE) for automated loading of compatible open source and commercial NOS offerings
