The DCS511 from Edgecore Networks is a 400G-optimized open network data center spine switch for data centers, service providers, and cloud operators. Powered by the Broadcom Tomahawk 4 chipset, the switch offers 32 × 400G ports on a single device and can be deployed as a spine switch supporting 100/400 GbE spine-to-spine or spine-to-leaf interconnects. The DCS511 has up to 16 ports for 400G ZR or ZR+ coherent optics, with a 24-W power budget per port along with support for SONiC NOS, VXLAN routing and bridging, and cognitive routing / GLB / path rebalancing / RoCEv2 over VXLAN.
