Key Values of Edgecore's Aggregation Router Solution:
Edgecore Open Aggregation Router Applications: AGR Series for Service Providers
AGR Series for Medium Centralized or Distributed BNG Deployments
AGR Series for Large Centralized or Distributed Multi-service BNG Deployments
AGR series deployed in multiple BNG scenarios, supporting BNG, PE-router, and enterprise switch functionalities
Edgecore AGR100 Series
The EdgecoreAGR100 series is based on the Broadcom Qumran-MX chipset and features 48 x 10G ports and 6 x 100G uplink ports, with a switching capacity of up to 800 Gbps. This series is designed with a high port density, an 8GB deep buffer, and 32GB SDRAM to support core, metro, and aggregation networks. The AGR100 series includes hardware options with TCAM and MACsec, and the full series supports SyncE and IEEE 1588v2 functions that are capable of fulfilling various network aggregation applications.
Edgecore AGR400 Series
The Edgecore AGR400 series is based on the Broadcom Qumran2C chipset and a robust server-grade 8-core Xeon processor with a BMC. The 2RU compact design has a high port density and 400G network interfaces, providing 2.4T packet processing that is ideal for carrier Ethernet, edge and core routing, OpenBNG, and other telecom applications.
The AGR400 series supports low power, scalable packet buffer memory, and various carrier features, including Ethernet OAM, MPLS, and segment routing for the most demanding carrier, campus, and cloud environments. This series includes hardware options with an external TCAM and external TAP chip, equipped with rich timing interfaces (1PPS, 10MHz, TOD), and full support for SyncE and IEEE 1588v2 timing profiles, which is ideal for any type of network aggregation.
