Edgecore Disaggregated PON OLT solution for 10G residential, corporate, and network backhaul services

Edgecore worked closely with leading service providers worldwide and open network communities to design a high-performance virtual OLT focused on NFV-based infrastructure deployments. Utilizing Edgecore hardware and open source software lowers overall costs, increases service agility, and allows users to leverage open technology innovation in such deployments.

Compared to a traditional OLT, that requires proprietary connectivity to OSS/BSS, open orchestration offers the benefits of flexible and instant creation of virtual services. The open GPON OLT and XGS-PON OLT solutions allow service providers to offer a mix of PON services from an SDN-enabled open hardware and software infrastructure, thereby saving costs and increasing service flexibility.

Edgecore vOLTs are compatible with multiple software vendors, which also helps service providers accelerate the creation of any necessary services in a value-conscious manner.
