Edgecore Networks, a leading provider of traditional and open network solutions for enterprises, data centers, and telecommunication service providers, is pleased to announce its latest Top-of-Rack and Carrier Access/Aggregation data center switch — the AS5916-54XKS, a high-availability switch that meets the high-performance, and scalability requirements of cloud data centers and communication service providers.
The AS5916-54XKS design and specification was contributed to Open Compute Project (OCP) in 2019, the hardware supports 48 x 10G SFP+ ports and 6 x 100GbE QSFP28 uplink ports with 800Gbps switching capability. The data center switch incorporates Broadcom StrataDNS® Qumran MX™ Switch silicon, 8GB deep packet buffer, and offer external TCAM. The hot swappable 5+1 redundant fan modules and redundant AC or -48 VDC PSUs enhance the overall switch stability and reliability.
