Edgecore Networks introduces the ECS4530-54CSFP — a L2+/Lite L3 Gigabit Ethernet CSFP switch for Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and Multiple System Operators (MSOs)
Edgecore Networks, a leading provider of traditional and open network solutions for enterprises, data centers, and telecommunication service providers, is pleased to announce its latest L2+/Lite L3 Gigabit Ethernet CSFP switch — the ECS4530-54CSFP, a high port density Gigabit Ethernet fiber switch with four 10G uplink ports, designed for Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and Multiple System Operators (MSOs).
The ECS4530-54CSFP is a high-density Gigabit Ethernet Fiber switch with compact 1U design, which contains 22 x CSFP ports + 2 CSFP/ 4 RJ45 Combo ports + 4 x 10G uplinks + 2x 20G QSFP+ ports. By inserting a CSFP transceiver with two bidirectional fiber ports into a CSFP port, ISPs and MSOs can support twice as many subscribers per port and reduce both the space and heating and cooling costs needed for deploying two 24 port switches and larger 48-port switches.
The ECS4530-54CSFP is ideal for ISPs and MSOs that want to provide home users with FTTH triple-play services with up to a Gigabit of bandwidth. It is also ideal for ISPs and MSOs that want to aggregate Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet access switches with Gigabit fiber uplinks. The CSFP switch is packed with features that bring high availability and enable service providers to deploy continuously and higher bandwidth.
