Background
ORBI GROUP is one of the biggest largest construction and development company in Georgia. It started a grand project - the Twin Towers hotel complex since 2016, which consist 4,500 rooms. The complex includes restaurants, shopping and entertainment centers, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, sports facilities, a spa, a well-appointed courtyard, children's playgrounds, conference rooms and parking.

Orbi Twin Towers adopted 791 pieces of IP Cameras for building surveillance system, and it needs to ensure high quality network equipment is employed so that security can be provided in a seamless and unhindered manner.

Ethernet Switch is a crucial element in any surveillance installation, it supports the video streams transmitting, the network traffic controlling to avoid delays and loss of data, and also offering the higher security protection.

Solution
ORBI GROUP deployed PoE Switches over 47 floors, each PoE switch is connected to the main Server Room by fiber optic cable. In the main server room, they chose to deploy three pieces of Edgecore Layer 3 switches. Layer 3 switches (ECS4620-28F x 2, ECS4620-28T x 1) are installed at the core of the network in full redundant mode with VRRP configuration. A firewall ensures that up to 1G of traffic can flow at wire speed through to the Internet. A 10G backbone was deployed to ensure higher bandwidth that worked in a non-blocking mode across the hotel.

Three switches are connected by 10G SFP+ ports and there are 4 VLans for IP cameras. Subdividing the LAN into smaller segments, or VLANs, increases overall reliability, security, and performance, and makes the network easier to maintain.
