Their NephOS end-to-end cloud software stack power the IaaS platform and was developed from the ground up to accelerate and simplify provisioning, deploying, and installing highly scalable cloud infrastructure. NephOS enables a hybrid cloud solution that seamlessly ties a customer's on-premise cloud environment with their hosted off-premise cloud environment, visible in a single-pane view. Leaf and Spine Topology for Data Center
The solution at NephoScale enables affordable high capacity that is very easy to manage. It leverages Edgecore's AS5712-54X
48-port 10G & 6-port 40G switches, running Cumulus Linux for the top-of-rack switches. The top-of-rack switches are connected to Edgecore AS6712-32X
32-port 40G switches in the spine of a Layer 3 Clos architecture to provide maximum flexibility and scalability.
Why Edgecore Networks
With the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE) available on bare-metal hardware, users have the option to run the operating system they want on the hardware device they want to purchase. As the first and earliest contributor to OCP, Edgecore bare-metal switches with their pre-loaded ONIE software enable different network operating systems to easily run on top of the Edgecore hardware.
NephoScale's business can scale better with an agile and flexible infrastructure with the new open networking infrastructure hardware running Cumulus Linux and other automation software tools.

10GbE data center switch with 48 10G SFP+ ports, and 6 x 40G QSFP+ uplink ports, serving as leaf switches with uplinks to spine switches and downlinks to controllers and compute nodes.
