Background
According to the Vietnam ICT Index report in 2018, Lang Son Province was ranked 32^nd among 63 cities, compared to 58^th in 2017. In the 2019 report, Lang Son Province was ranked 22^nd, which was even better than 2018.

To achieve this result, Lang Son Telecommunication Department has worked with Lang Son Finance Department, City Hospitals, and Border Gates to actively modernize and upgrade the IT systems and network infrastructures.

A professional network infrastructure improves work efficiency and increases the credibility and satisfaction of citizens. Therefore, Lang Son Telecommunication Department looked for scalable, converged and cost-effective solutions, and to reduce the risk of network system upgrades.

Solution
In order to build a network infrastructure system that meets the requirements, Edgecore's local partner in Vietnam, Netmark Distribution, cooperated with Thien Ngan Telecom Company to build solutions using Edgecore Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches, including: ECS4120-28Fv2, ECS4120-28F-I, ECS4120-28T, ECS4620-28T, ECS2000-18T, and ECS2020-28T.

Equipped with a complete set of advanced software features and high-performance security functions, Edgecore switches fully meet the standards for backbone bandwidth from 1 to 10 Gigabit.

Features 24 to 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports, and 2 to 4 optical SFP ports for high-speed connections.
Ability to switch simultaneously on all ports with high speed and low latency.
10G uplinks to server aggregation, such as data center, or deploy in backbone networks.
Easily to manage and monitor the switches through a web UI or command-line interface.
Comprehensive security, robust multicast control, support for IPv6 management, and enhanced QoS features.
