Edgecore Networks Introduces AS6812-32X - 40GBE DATA CENTER SWITCH – Meeting the most demanding performance, scale and reliability requirements of data centers

The Edgecore AS6812-32X supports hyperscale cloud operators that meet the most demanding performance, scale and reliability requirements. The switch provides line-rate L2 and L3 switching across 32 QSFP+ ports which support 32 x 40 GbE connections or 96 x 10GbE plus 8 x 40G connections. The AS6812-32X can be deployed as a TOR switch supporting 10GbE or 40GbE server connections, or as a spine switch supporting 10GbE or 40GbE spine interconnects.
AS6812-32X is a bare-metal switch loaded with the Open Network Install Environment (ONIE), which supports the installation of compatible open source and commercial Network Operating Systems for different network use cases and requirements. The AS6812-32X is now compatible with Open Network Linux (ONL), Big Mon Fabric™, Big Cloud Fabric™ and IP Infusion OcNOS.
The Edgecore AS6812-32X not only provides a cost-effective solution for users to reduce the network equipment expenses as well as operating expenses, but also increases the greater control over the development of enhanced network services and accelerated provisioning of network capacity and services.
