Edgecore is Honored to Win the Taiwan Excellence Award 2019
Edgecore Networks, a leading provider of traditional and open networking solutions for enterprises, data centers, and telecommunication service providers, is pleased to announce that the ASXvOLT16, a disaggregated 10G PON OLT, has been named in the Taiwan Excellence Awards 2019! The "Taiwan Excellence Award" was established in 1992 as the symbol for representing quality products from Taiwan to an international audience. The winners of the Taiwan Excellence Award are based on five key categories: Research and Development, Design, Quality, Marketing, and Made in Taiwan. The judges selected the most innovative and outstanding products from 1,127 candidates and gave them the honor as industry-leading indicators.
The ASXvOLT16 is the world's first disaggregated 10G PON OLT. The design offers 16 XFP ports supporting 10G XGS-PON or NG-PON2 plus four 100 Gigabit Ethernet QSFP28 uplinks. This virtual 10G PON OLT has been designed in conformance with the AT&T Open XGS-PON 1RU OLT specification contributed to the OCP Telco Working Group. The ASXvOLT16 is the industry's first open OLT that will enable service providers to deploy 10G PON services from CORD infrastructures, and support open source SDN and NFV software, including OCP-ACCEPTEDTM leaf/spine switches, Ethernet edge switches, as well as residential and business-service delivery.
