Edgecore Networks Announces a New High-performance Gigabit Ethernet Layer 3 Fiber Switch with Dual AC PSUs, the ECS4620-28F-2AC, for building-out advanced FTTB/FTTH Solutions
Edgecore Networks, a leading provider of traditional and open network solutions for enterprises, data centers, and telecommunication service providers, today announce a new model, the ECS4620-28F-2AC, to join the ECS4620 product series. The switch is a high-performance Gigabit Ethernet Layer 3 switch with dual AC PSUs, featuring 28 ports; with 22 100/1000 SFP ports, two 10/100/1000 combo ports, two 10G SFP+ ports, one 10G dual-port expansion slot, and stacking of up to four units. The switch is ideal for high-performance server aggregations, such as enterprise data centers, where they can connect high-end or network-attached files servers over fiber ports. It also helps service providers to build-out Fiber to the Building (FTTB) or Fiber to the Home (FTTH) infrastructure for Broadband Access services.
The ECS4620-28F-2AC supports dual AC power supplies that ensure an effective power redundancy solution for customers, providing the ability to failover to a back-up power source in the event when the primary power source becomes unavailable. The ECS4620-28F-2AC network solution not only helps to minimize system downtime, but also increases the availability of vital services. The two AC power supplies are hot swappable modules, which make sure there are no system interruptions during installation or upgrades.
