Edge-Core Integrated Services today announced total solutions of Enterprise Networking, completely ranging from Layer 3 Backbone network series to Layer 2 switches for edge application. As to bandwidth-eager backbone networks, Edge-Core provides ES4625/ES4649 24/48-port L3 Intelligent Gigabit Ethernet Stackable Switch. The switch configuration is 20/44 10/100/1000 Base-T port and 4 gigabit combo ports comprised of an optional I/O module for 10G uplink. It also supports Close loop stacking and can be stacked up to 8 units; with a maximum bandwidth of 40G. The Edge-Core ES4625/ES4649 is effective in its flexibility for future expansion convenience.

Besides providing basic Layer 2 functions, ES4625/ES4649 24/48 Intelligent Gigabit Ethernet Stackable Switch also provides complete Layer 3 routing functions, including IPv4, RIP I/RIP II, OSPF, IP Multicast Routing, and IP Redundancy. The Edge-Core ES4625/ES4649 provides multiple security algorithms, such as Port Security, SSL, Web management Encryption, RADIUS, TACACS+ and 802.1x. Besides, it provides the following L4 QoS: DiffServ, traffic and bandwidth management, and 8-level priority in switching to ensure the steadiness of data communication.

At a time, Edge-Core announced availability of ES3526Y and ES3526YA/ES3550YA L2/L4 Stackable Switch and with LEO technology. ES3526Y provides basic standalone functions as well as advanced stacking ones. Because the platform is based on Accton¡¦s own internally-designed ASIC, it is a price-competing product, compared with those available from top-tier vendors on the retail market today. ES3526Y is ideal for cost-sensitive Enterprise workgroup clients.

The ES3526Y stackable switch is a powerful product of security and flexibilitywith 24 10/100 ports as well as two slots for optional fiber and Gigabit uplink modules; available in 1000BASE-T, 1000BASE-SX (SC), 1000BASE-LX (SC), 1000BASE-X (GBIC) and 100BASE-FX (SC, MMF and SMF). It provides 2G, with a maximum of 8G stacking bandwidth. Also benefiting from Accton's internally-designed ASIC, routing firmware and software technology, the ES3526Y has features that take beyond Layer 2. Furthermore, its unique SMTP function can send alerts for unusual packets to the administrator¡¦s email box, and the Jumbo packets can support up to 9K bytes under Gigabit speed that give administrators the flexibility to make performance-enhancing adjustments. ES3526Y supports comprehensive Layer 2 features such as Private VLAN, IEEE 802.3ad (LACP) trunking and Link aggregation; port-based 802.1x, Access Control Lists, HTTPS/SSL and SSH security features and L4 QoS features include 802.1p and DiffServ, rate-limiting, WRR and strict scheduling.

The Edge-Core ES3526YA/ES3550YA is a Fast Ethernet stackable switch with 24/48 10/100 ports and two Gigabit Combo ports with two RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports for stacking. ES3526YA/ES3550YA can mix stack up to 8 units with a total of 384 Fast Ethernet ports and 16 Gigabit Combo ports. ES3526Y supports comprehensive Layer 2 features such as Private VLAN, IEEE 802.3ad (LACP) trunking and Link aggregation, port-based 802.1x, Access Control Lists, HTTPS/SSL and SSH security features and L4 QoS features, including 802.1p and DiffServ, rate-limiting, WRR and strict scheduling. This Layer-2/4 stackable switch is pact with features and a cost effective solution that brings enhanced security, high flexibility, advance QoS to the network edge, while maintaining the simplicity of traditional LAN switching.
